The fall season started with a vengeance in Downtown Scottsdale with a slew of cool events that kept us hopping, not to mention eating, drinking and shopping. Now we’ve got to hustle to shed those extra pounds from Eats3 in time for Scottsdale Fashion Week, Nov. 6-8. The Downtowner likes to be catwalk ready—you know, just in case there’s a catastrophic model plague.
If you missed Savor Scottsdale’s debut of Eats3 on SouthBridge Oct. 23-25, check out the photos in our Review section. I’m a huge Top Chef fan and was so excited to meet winner Stephanie Izard that I talked her ears off at the Marshall Bridge cocktail extravaganza. (I’m in the black-and-white dress in that photo to the left, and Stephanie is the woman who looks like she might call security.) Eats3 “looks to have a happy future” and was “every bit as impressive as the West of Western festival,” according to The Arizona Republic, and we couldn’t agree more.
Of course, the next big buzz is Fashion Week, which has more Downtown connections than the trolley. The event appropriately kicks off in Old Town with WearableArtWalk08, which is expected to knock everybody’s socks off (fortunately they can immediately buy more). We’ll be there, strutting our stuff at the Scottsdale Downtowner booth. Stop by and offer your comments, and we’ll tell you how smashing you look.
