Rustic Sage
Healing Haven

In celebration of its grand opening on Sept. 11, Rustic Sage Healing Haven welcomed a large crowd of chatty visitors who dined on healthy organic foods and beers while strolling through 3,000 square feet of yoga and massage rooms. Located at 7050 E. Fifth Ave., founder Wendy Schulstad and Aaron Brookman, managing partner, have truly created a peaceful, elegant haven for Downtowners to exchange their stress for relaxation.

As a licensed massage therapist for the last five years, Schulstad decided to open Rustic Sage to meet a growing need she observed in her clients. “I sought to create a refuge, a safe place, a haven for authentic healing to take place,” says Schulstad.  “I believe that it is important to meet people exactly where they are in their process. I truly believe that to achieve the inner harmony we all crave, that we must eventually address all facets of our being, including the emotional, the physical, and the mental. I have developed a diverse menu that provides both group and individual participation. However one chooses to partake in the Rustic Sage offerings, we want each client to feel nurtured and loved by our space, our staff and most importantly, by themselves.”

Offering deep tissue and relaxation rub downs, Rustic Sage is offering a free yoga class with a client’s first massage. Haven instructors also offer an ongoing free yoga class on Saturday mornings (7:30 a.m.) as part of the Wellness Market at the Kiva Center. Yoga classes range from relaxation classes to Basics (a beginner yoga class) and are available throughout the week. The Haven also offers healing classes and seminars using “the mind, body, soul approach.”

At the grand opening, the Rustic Sage Mandala created by artist Vikki Reed was unveiled to an audience of admirers and completed the night’s message of harmony. For more information on Rustic Sage, call 480.990.1994 or visit www.rusticsagehaven.com.
